Pacáil
ó Bhreatnais Elan Grug Muse
Tá seanchleachtadh agam ar phacáil faoin am seo
ar gach rud a chur le chéile go slachtmhar
isteach i málaí droma is i mboscaí
is isteach i bpócaí troma mo chóta
ar tharraiceáin a fholmhú
is ar sholas ghrian fhada
na maidine a chroithead
amach as a gcuid fillteacha pitseámaí.
Is gnás liom éirí le pacáil;
agus rudaí a chruinniú agus a eagrú le hiompar ar ais abhaile
agus rudaí sobhriste a chlúdach
ar eagla go mbeadh siad briste ar an mbealach.
Agus anocht i seomra lom
tá mé ag baint sraitheanna na gcuimhní
mar ghreamachán aosta
de na ballaí
agus ag cur taechupán, as mo chroí,
i nead stocaí olla
a thóg gach céim ar an mbealach.
